Spring in the kitchen – fresh omlette

Hello again πŸ™‚ As I was making food I thought I’d share this simple idea for a fresh, spring omlette here. Cause, why not! Even if it’s winter outside (we still have tons of snow) you can make spring in your kitchen πŸ™‚

I used:

  • one tomato
  • sweet corn
  • red pepper
  • mushrooms
  • scallions

AndΒ  also:

  • 2 eggs
  • 3-4 tablespoons of milk
  • salt, pepper, herbs

First, chop all vegetables…

…and fry them with a little bit of butter.

In a bowl, whisk eggs with milk and spices and then pour the mixture into the pan.

Now you just need to cover the pan with a lid and leave (on a very, very small heat) for around 7-10 minutes.

Carefully slide the omlette onto a plate and enjoy πŸ™‚

  1. Looks yummy!! I can never seem to get making omelettes right πŸ˜“All my veggies just fall everywhere and never stay with the eggs properly but I do not use low heat or cover so! I will try this out πŸ˜ƒ

  2. That is one monster omelette. I’ve only ever seen omelettes in half and then flipped so that both sides cooked but, as others have noted, this often results in lost add-ins. Great idea with the cover! I usually only add spinach or mushrooms to omelettes, but I think I might try red pepper or corn next time.
